Got flu? Don’t train!

With Flu season upon us in Australia we need to be vigilant and make wise decisions about training.

A repeating message from me, but yes, the underlying messages is that the recovery makes us stronger and fitter, not the training. If our recovery systems are focused on the virus as a priority, any training will not be followed by the usual recovery and the super compensation. The training recovery will also diminish the body’s ability to recover from the virus.

To conclude; got flu, don’t train!

Maybe use the time and do your tax, watch Netflix, or sleep. This way you get back to training sooner, stronger and with less overall fitness loss.
